- [Instructor] So now that we know what the role of the IT architect is, let's talk a little bit about what it is you should be looking for when seeking out an IT architect for your business. It should be obvious that IT architecture comes with a lot of responsibilities. So you need to make sure that the employee who's going to fill the role as an IT architect has the ability to fulfill these responsibilities without any problems. A good IT architect should have the following qualities. First, they should have a really great grasp of the latest business technologies. While a full grasp of business is only essential for enterprise architects, really any IT architect who's worth anything, they will understand business tech.
