- [Instructors] For a while now, many websites especially banks and others sites that use sensitive personal information have required users to choose and answer so-called security questions. They position these security questions as a way to gain access to your account in case you forget your password. As we've seen in previous episodes, there shouldn't be any reason to lose your password if you're using a password manager, but sometimes it happens, and we have to contact someone in order to get our password reset. That's where these security questions come in. Usually, they're questions that seem simple. What's your favorite movie? Where was your mother born? What was your high school mascot? But there are two problems with these questions. The first is that some of them have answers that might change over time. My favorite movie when I was set up an account in 2009 might not still be my favorite movie when I set up an account on a different service in 2018. And the second problem…
