- [Instructor] So previously we mentioned how important it is to have a strong password, but it's also important to cycle passwords and try and change the format and the type as often as you can. So by cycle, this means that each month, or each few weeks, change the passwords that you have over your most prized accounts. So these would be around email and different phone services. Usually phishing attempts, hacking attempts, they look to isolate these types of services first, so it's important to make sure that they're secure. In terms of encrypting data, there's a number of modern operating systems that allow their local file systems to be encrypted. So this means that at the lowest level, lowest operating level, the data's encrypted and can't be accessed, even if it's copied off the hard drive.
