- [Instructor] Many central governments have followed the US government's lead towards the adoption of cloud computing. This has drastically increased demand for vendor-furnished information security products and services as governments have increased their investment in the protection of private and federal networks from cyber threats. Special attention is being given to securing the Internet of Things through government-sponsored research in cyber-physical systems as networks are now being considered as a component of critical infrastructure. Driven by this trend, additional budgets are being planned for the protection of networks against malicious attacks.
