Risk and security in the cloud

- [Daniel] In the cloud organizations must identify risks to determine whether or not, the potential benefits of using cloud services outweighs the realization of those risks. Risks themselves can be mitigated and their negative impact can be potentially reduced. Compliance with the laws and regulations and industry security standards, can be achieved by monitoring logs and auditing cloud activity. I'm Dan Lachance, and I've been working in IT for over 25 years. Passing the CCSK exam requires knowledge of not only how to securely deploy and manage cloud resources, but also how to reduce the impact of realized threats against those resources. This is the third course, in the Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge series, and I'm going to explain where the responsibility when it comes to managing risk falls, when it comes to cloud providers and their customers. I'll then discuss the relevance of data privacy and how to remain compliant, with security standards. If you're ready to begin learning how to use the cloud securely, join me in my LinkedIn learning course, Managing Cloud Security and Risk.
