- [Instructor] Now to the Americas, where in Brazil, Decree Law 8.135/2013 regulates the purchase of IT-related services by entities of the federal public administration and sets forth as a main principle that communications services involving data of any federal administration body must be provided by other public entities including any companies owned by the federal government. This legislation was further detailed by lower regulation and confirmed that private entities may provide IT-related services including cloud services to public bodies of the federal administration, provided that it is the demonstrated that there are no satisfactory alternatives available. In the United States, the Federal Risk Authorization and Management Program, also known as FedRAMP, is applicable to all federal government cloud usage, and is broadly adopted by the individual states.
