- [Instructor] Responsible as an afterthought. After going through the effort of deployment and monitoring, it is easy to see how being responsible can be seen as an afterthought. Many projects like this, that is, applied machine learning projects, that are started within organizations usually start with the value creation mindset and that isn't wrong. It just means that the metrics of success that are usually tied to performance or financial metrics are in place and only in place. Value creation mindset usually revolves around an existing business case that has a firm return on financial investment. So for instance, think of an organization that may be having an issue with customer churn and through their own modeling they have discovered that an X percent reduction in churn will yield a Y percent increase in revenue.
