- [Instructor] So let's get started with talking about resource governance in terms of how it works with Cloud Computing. So resource governance allows you to deal with the Cloud resources such as virtual CPUs and storage using an abstraction layer and sometimes an automation layer. So what it does is it allows you to put these very complex services behind this abstraction layer and deal with those abstraction layers to deal with the actual resource through a layer of governance or through the ability to enforce policies which really limit how we're able to access those resources. So for instance we can't allocate a 100 gigs of storage unless we're authorized to do so, unless there's policy that's set that allows that to happen. And we can't allocate a $100,000 a month worth of CPUs just because we think we need it. There's limitations on what we can do.
