- [Instructor] Now we will talk about conversions in the context of calculating conversion rates. So, just to remind everyone, a conversion rate has a numerator and a denominator. And whatever the conversion we pick, in the case of social media, that could be likes, comments, shares, views, whatever, that's going to be the numerator in that rate. So, the question we ask often in my field of epidemiology, as well as in business, what's the right denominator for our rate? I realize there are many types of conversions out there. Sales, blog views, mailing list signups, but let's run with this example so we can continue to get in the weeds with defining conversion rates and I can walk you through the logic.
