- [Instructor] One of the biggest mistakes engineering teams make is not realizing the public impact of their products and technical decisions beyond metrics. There are outcomes to engineering decisions that cannot be measured in terms of growth and revenue. It is vital that your PR and communications teams, or a corresponding external facing team stays engaged in the privacy discourse. It may not always be foreseeable, but it is plausible that the following could have privacy and reputational impacts. First, who is your product aimed at?
