- [Instructor] Okay, now let's look at the governance domain of cloud complexity management. So first we're going to look at the world of policies. So ultimately policies are really the engines that allow you to define logically the way governance is going to work. Whether it's resource governance around storage compute, or whether it's service governance around an API, or anything where you're putting boundaries or guard rails around how those resources, those instances, those data points are going to be leveraged. So policies are, in essence, analogous to program. So if you look at what a policy is, it allows you to write a logical operator that defines how things are to be governed. For example, the time of day people can invoke a resource. So cloud governance is made up of a few components including resource governance such as meta resources like storage and compute, service resources such as APIs, security and governance…
