- [Instructor] Since we are talking time, let's anchor ourselves. Let's pretend it is January 1, 2019. Yay! Happy New Year! I'm just trying to get in the mood. Now, let's talk about estimates for our experiments timeline. Let's say that for our webpage in the baseline condition, condition A, in the month before January 2019, which is December 2018, we had a total of 2,323 webpage visits. And that's our conversion rate denominator. We are going to use that number to be our estimate of our monthly conversion rate denominator in the future as we are going through our experiment. Next, remember how we used G*Power to calculate total denominator size and we got a number over 9,000? So, let's say we need a total denominator of 9,000 in the study to get our sample size using the values we estimated from that simulation spreadsheet.
