Overview of the technology used in wireless

- [Instructor] Wireless technology such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular all function as a connection between two things over the air with no physical connection required. Commonly, and the focus in this course is the use of radio waves to complete the wireless connection. Radio waves can wirelessly connect two points that are very close together, like a Bluetooth connection. Long-range communication, as used in air traffic control, or extremely far apart like a communication line in an orbiting space station. These invisible connections come in analog and digital form. Analog radio waves are often depicted like this. The peaks up and down are called the amplitude, and the space between the waves is called the frequency.
