Overview of data rights

- [Instructor] Have you ever had your data leaked? How many times do you think about data rights? So it's something that I worry about and something I've been through myself. We live in a global economy and different regions have different approaches to how data is stored and managed. So what kind of rights do we actually have to our own data? What exactly is our own data? Over the last few years, new approaches to data rights have been attempted and studied. We'll discuss some of these findings and the effects of these changes. With the increase in shared data, there's also an increase in the number of data leaks and private personal data that's been mistakenly released. This can happen due to security lapses, targeted extraction attempts and issues with programs. We can discuss what happens when this occurs and what it means for organizations. My name is Martin Kemka and I've worked as an analyst for over 15 years building different machine learning systems for clients around the world. I'm excited to share some of these ideas with you. And I hope it will give you a better understanding of how data rights work.
