(upbeat music) - Think about how networks are part of your everyday life. For example, during a typical day, do you look something up on the internet, watch Netflix, have your doorbell tell you that somebody's at the front door? Maybe you send an instant message or an email. All those examples and many more are made possible through networking. So if you're beginning a career in IT or even considering it, there's no question that you need a fundamental understanding of networking. And in this course, you're going to be learning the building blocks of a network, understand the theory of how different components and protocols do their job, and even take a look at some emerging technologies that you're going to be hearing more and more about. Hi, my name's Kevin Wallace, and I'm a double CCIE, or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert. And I've been teaching IT courses for over two decades. So join me in my LinkedIn course covering networking basics. (upbeat music)
