- [Instructor] One of the most important things for any IT architect to be very familiar with is the idea of risk management. Now, when it comes to planning for risk management it's really broken down into three areas. The first is that you have to identify a threat. A threat is anything that will interfere with access to resources or the potential theft or destruction of those resources. Now, you have to keep in mind that in some cases a threat could be as simple as something that's just an environmental threat or a natural, like an act of God-type threat. But then you also have threats that are more malicious. Second, we have to identify our vulnerabilities. You'll need to go through and take a look and see where you are vulnerable.
