- In this chapter we're going to be setting up a typical wireless router that we might find in a home or in a small business. Specifically we're going to be setting up this Linksys wireless router. And wireless routers from other vendors, the configuration interface might look different but the settings are the same. And the great thing about this Linksys wireless router is if we want it can work right out of the box. Let's take a closer look. If we take a look at the back of our wireless router we've got a yellow port that gets us out to the internet and we've got these four blue ports. This is a four port ethernet switch. It's into these ports that we could connect our ethernet devices or we could even connect another switch into these ports, to give us an even higher port density.
