- [Instructor] Although we talked about the many benefits of XAI, it is important to note that there are some significant challenges for the technology both in the short term as well as into the future. In this video, we will cover the difficulty in defining explainable, the potential loss of competitive edge for companies that incorporate XAI, the difficulty in understanding the explanations as they get more complex, the fact that some things are inherently difficult or impossible to explain, and the trade offs that you might have to make to achieve explainability. First, the very definition of explainable is still in question. Explainable can mean everything from understanding the detailed actions of the AI algorithm to higher level concepts of reasoning and logic.
