- [Instructor] So let's drill down a bit on what it takes to understand your existing Legacy stay, or your As is stay. In this case, the information, or the data. So keep in mind that most business data is currently stored in databases. So we may already know the content of the data, what the data means, who owns the data, security parameters around the data. Perhaps even compliance policies that relate to the data. In some instances information may be stored in traditional ways such as file-based systems, comma-delimited files, text-based files, unstructured data. It's a common way to store things now and it was certainly a more common way to store things 30 years ago and it's still present in legacy information. Also raw storage.
