- [Instructor] As the commissioner, you're responsible for establishing the league rules. You'll have lots of decisions to make, so what should be your goals as you create the rule book? Goal number one, fun. This is a game so it should be fun. Making the game too complicated can make people frustrated. Creating a game where teams can be eliminated from the playoffs early in the season will kill people's interests. But making it too easy doesn't engage the mind. People get bored. Be sure your rules keep people engaged and excited for most of the season. Goal number two, make them think. People like to think. Do the rules motivate people to create strategies? Drafting players? Picking up and dropping players? Setting starting lineups? Trades? These are all decisions that make owners think. Making decisions is an important part of the fun.
