- [Instructor] So what about the opportunities to leverage IoT, cloud computing and law enforcement? So ultimately, we're generating crime data. And we can put that crime data anywhere it can be on premises, or it can, in this case, a public cloud provider. But what we do with that crime data and how we're able to track and reduce crime, is ultimately the end goal. So as police are executing their duties, they're gathering information consistently. And this information goes into a crime database that can be tracked in the cloud. We can match this up with crime data, in other words, actual crime that's occurring in the field, which is going to be tagged with GPS information, personnel information, criminal information. Other things we can leverage include video surveillance systems, either owned by the city or perhaps even owned by citizens, the citizens themselves which can carry around cell phones or mobile devices where they can report crimes as they happen, perhaps even send videos…
