- [Narrator] In a traditional firewall setup, you're protecting the edge of the network. Right? That side of the network that faces the outside world. If you think about your network as a walled city, your firewall is that main gate that gets closed and there's guards at the gate that open it and let people in and out, and that's your firewall. What about the back door? What about the tunnels under the walls? There's ways in and the assumption that there's always a way into a network, leads to something we call zero trust networking. It's an assumption that bad guys are going to get in. So what happens when that happens is you need to have the ability to find the bad guys once they're already inside. And that is all about what we're doing here. We're going to configure, download and minimally configure the Snort package. And we're going to do that now. We're going to go to system, package manager, this is something you do not already have installed because it does not come by default…
