- [Instructor] So now let's get into the details behind what governance is and this case the ability to set up, program, and implement policies which is foundational to most of what we're going to talk about in this course, so policies are the way that you define your governance tools at work, and really governance tools in of themselves don't do much. But, we have to tell them what needs to be enforced, that the guard rails are. Time of day and accessing resources, who can access resources or API sets, what they can do, legal issues, things like that we need to program into polices it's all done here. So they are like you know program code in essence if you programed before I don't think you have much of an issue with building and deploying polices so that then you need to version them and understand the interdependencies and they're fairly complex things if you don't think through them and the way to in essence have an effective policy creation and management strategy is to think…
