Introduction to Linux filesystem

- Since the beginning of Linux's development, it was designed as a multiuser system. This means that any number of users can simultaneously work on one single machine. These users can connect to the system using different terminals or network connections, while all of their personal information and individual desktop configurations are stored separately. Among the users working on a machine, Linux is going to differentiate between two types of users. We have a general user, which is known as a normal user, and then we have this superuser, or an administrator. We call this root when we're dealing with Linus. Now a superuser has privileges which authorize him to access all parts of the system, and they can execute all sorts of different administrative tasks.
