- In my opinion, the number one thing…that I do when I go inside a PC, it's to add RAM.…It seems like nobody ever orders a PC…with enough RAM in it, and I've made plenty money…over these decades going into computers…and just sticking more RAM in.…And that's what I want to talk about in this episode.…So what we're going to do here is I've got…this brand new motherboard and it has,…at this point it has no RAM in it whatsoever,…so the first thing I'm going to do to add RAM…is I'm going to grab that motherboard book…and I'm going to make sure that I have…the right kind of RAM.…
So let's see if we can see that right there.…So this tells us that it takes DDR4 memory…and it supports up to 64 gigabytes.…If I've got four slots and it supports up to 64 gigabytes,…they just told me that the biggest stick I can put…into any of these is a 16 gig.…So if there's anything bigger than that…it's not going to work in this motherboard.…Then it goes through and gives me…all the different speeds it can handle.…So I've got some 266 right here…
