Installing Nessus Manager on Linux

- [Instructor] Many organizations choose to install Nessus Manager on Linux servers, and Nessus is, in fact, available for most common Linux distributions. You may install Nessus on Linux servers running the Ubuntu, Red Hat, FreeBSD, SUSE, Fedora, Debian, CentOS, Oracle Linux, and Amazon Linux distributions. The installation process will vary slightly depending upon the specific distribution of Linux that you're using. I'll walk you through the process on an Ubuntu server. Here I have a terminal open on an Ubuntu server. If I run the ls command, I see that the Nessus installation file is already here waiting for me. I've downloaded the file and copied it to the server before we got started. You actually can't download this file directly from the command line, because you first have to go on to the Nessus website and provide your name and email address and accept the license agreement.
