- [Instructor] The Cloud Security Alliance provides a model of cloud architecture which compliments and dives deeper into the service layers. Here, we can see that infrastructure as a service consists of facilities, the many large data centers operated by the service provider, hardware racked in those data centers, the abstraction of the service from hardware using virtualization and operating systems, the connectivity and delivery, which involves Internet access and content data networks, and the APIs used to interface into the service capabilities. Infrastructure as a Service is a business model in which an organization outsources the equipment used to support operations, including storage, hardware, servers, and the networking components.
