- [Ron] Another day, another security breach in the news. Billions of records lost, costing companies billions of dollars. According to a recent Accenture study, 68% of business leaders feel their cybersecurity risks are increasing. Cybersecurity and privacy are hot topics for organizations of all types and sizes. How do you manage your security and privacy risk and decrease them to an acceptable level? Fortunately, there's help. The National Institute of Standards and Technology, also known as NIST, provides free resources for organizations. Their Risk Management Framework, or RMF, is a set of standards and processes for applying a risk-based approach to security and privacy. The NIST RMF emphasizes risk management by promoting the development of security and privacy capabilities and to information systems throughout the system development lifecycle by following a seven-step process. This course is an in-depth look at implementing the NIST RMF process. I'll show you how to leverage each of these steps with examples you can use to secure your organization, no matter its size, structure, or sector. I'm Ron Woerner, your instructor for this course. I have over 20 years of IT, cybersecurity, and privacy experience, having built programs for many major international companies. If you're ready to take your cybersecurity skills to the next level, I invite you to join my LinkedIn Learning course where you'll learn a tried-and-true process for securing your organization's systems and data and reduce the risks of a breach.
