Implement security with DNS

- [Instructor] Let's talk about DNS and security. DNS is short for domain name system, is a process to translate a human readable name to an IP address. This is required because human are bad at remembering IP addresses, but computers require IP addresses in order for it to know where to send its request. Your computer actually performs the DNS lookup on your behalf. For example, when you open your browser and type in www.cisco.com, your computer forwards the request to a local DNS server. The local DNS server will check the local cache for the entry, if it is amiss, it will forward the request, toward to one of the root name servers. The root name server, will identified the organization that owns the domain, in this case, Cisco, and forwards the request to that.
