- [Instructor] So I'm looking at Amazon Web Services IoT, or Internet of Things. We have a few core activities that take place. First, we're able to connect and manage devices. Again, an IoT device can be a mobile phone, it can be any sensor, it can be a drone, it can be anything that produces data. But typically, it's not going to be a traditional computing system. It's able to act on the device data, or data that's produced by the device into the IoT system. And it's also able to manage the device, or communicate and set a device state. So, keep in mind when we talk about IoT and public cloud computing, we're often times talking about paired resources that are very much alike in the IoT device, or in the public cloud. So how this works is it provides direct connectivity to the device, and ultimately, devices need to be synergistic with Amazon Web Services IoT. Keep in mind this is a symbiotic relationship.
