In this video, I'll show you the five most important skills that a data science team needs to have. First off, you need programming skills on your team. Programming languages and platforms provide the number-crunching muscle you need to extract customer insights. Two very popular programming languages for data science applications are Python and R. Which one you choose is often about preference and sometimes about infrastructure requirements and it's not uncommon to find a mix of both languages in different environments and different teams. Second, you're going to need a strong statistical foundation. That means understanding concepts like data distribution, probability and statistical measures.
