- [Instructor] All of your architecture and design security is intended to protect the data processed and stored by your app. Just as you'll spend time modeling nonfunctional properties and constraints, you'll also spend time modeling the application data. Data classification is a process of grouping data based on sensitivity or importance. Once this grouping is complete, you can apply different data restrictions and controls based on those characteristics. The initial grouping process is more conceptual.
