- [Instructor] Remember the irritative diagram we saw just a few seconds ago about how the PET, or the privacy execution team, will drive the classification process? There is yet another step we have to add in for the governance program to be complete, and this step is data inventory as you can see in this diagram, which is the second block on the left-hand side, right after classification. Classifying your data will not help you much unless you apply that classification to your storage systems. Otherwise, you end up with a governance program that looks great on paper while your actual storage systems remain largely unchanged. This is why you need to complete a data inventory, which is also known in some circles as data catalog. Here's a handy definition.
