- [Instructor] The expectation that a security breach is likely within the next 12 months ranges from 21% for utilities to nearly half for retailers. Consumers were most concerned about compromise of their personal data with retail due to high profile data breaches recently. Chief Information Security Officers had a lower overall education level when compared to other industry verticals. They more often reported to the Chief Information Officer or the Chief Technology Officer and relied on professional development and experience from other nonsecurity-related fields. For a deployment model, private cloud predominates in all industry verticals, except energy and utilities, where public is the top choice. Software as a service predominates across all industry sectors except for in consulting where infrastructure as a service is predominant.
