Critical Communications for IT

- [David] Hi everyone. My name is David Pultorak. Welcome to the Critical Communications Capability Foundation Course. I'm a management consultant at Acceleres Corporation. I'm known for IT critical situation skills. And my colleague Jim Desler is known for communication skills around business PR nightmares. We wrote this course because we're living in the age of the digital enterprise where the business is IT and IT is the business and products and services are increasingly digital in nature. In this digital age, the age of continuous everything, the landscape is more complex and the stakes are higher now more than ever with 24 by seven news cycles, a myriad of changing influencers and an onslaught of bad actors launching cyber attacks and the constant and increasing risk of PR nightmares. You simply cannot handle what we're being dealt with now with slow outdated siloed processes. Every person, team and organization must have the capability to communicate well when crises hit. And that means you too. So in this course, you'll learn a framework that makes this problems based tractable and provides a basis for a shared frame of reference along with methods including force-field analysis, best practices and agile continuous improvement and regular practice and drills to improve your capability.
