- [Instructor] In addition to paying your annual maintenance fees, you'll also need to meet ISC squared's continuing education requirements. They expect you to keep your skills sharp and your knowledge current. And they've got a process in place for tracking your efforts to do just that. ISC squared tracks continuing professional education, or CPE credits, on a three-year cycle. They lump CPEs into two categories known as group A and group B. Group A credits are directly related to your work in the field. These include contributions to the profession and unique work experience. Group B credits refer to professional development that may be outside of the CSSLP body of knowledge. My course on soft skills for information security professionals would fall into that category.
