- [Instructor] So let's talk about containers. Containers are very popular these days and certainly, if you're going to move applications and data to the cloud, you're going to be able to look at containers as an option to in essence, drive your applications leveraging a certain standard. So, keep in mind that the core idea here is that containers are just really nothing more but another way to build and deploy applications. So people get unnerved with it sometimes because it is new and it does provide new capabilities that weren't available just a few years ago, however, we've been here before. We've leveraged containers in the past such as J2E and things like that. Ultimately, this is about isolating the application to promote portability. So the idea with containers is that we run the operating system inside its own package, inside its own container, and the operating system obviously runs the application. So the idea…
