Configuring ALG

[Narrator] - Let's start by looking at the ALGs that are enabled on the Junos device. The operation mode command to view the ALG status is show security alg status. Here we can see all the ALGs enabled on the device, such as DNS, FTP, media gateway control protocol, RTSP, SIP, et cetera. Notice there is also an ALG which is disabled by default. To configure an ALG, we'll first need to enter to configuration mode and the command is set security alg. Let's start off with a question mark. Here, we have the option to configure the ALG manager, the ALG support libraries, and the specific ALGs as well. Let's start off with FTP space question mark. We have the option to disable to ALG and we have some other options which are specific to the FTP ALG. Let's change the command the DNS, set security ALG DNS space question mark.
