Configure advanced shares using FSRM

- [Instructor] In a previous video, we created Quick Shares using NFS and SMB types of shares. In this video, we're going to discuss how to create an Advanced Share. What we need to do is install File Server Resource Manager in the Add Roles and Features on our 2019 server in order to make that work. Let's go ahead and click Next. And let's go ahead and choose the File and Storage Services options, and find the role service that we need. File Server Resource Manager, Add Features, click Next, and Install. FSRM gives us the option to create what's called Advanced Quotas, so we can decide who can save what data to the server and how much. This is going to be required for us to create the Advanced Sharing option. There's also other options in FSRM that we can take advantage of. Installation is complete, we'll go ahead and click Close. And if we go under Tools, we'll see our File Server Resource Manager option. Now, we don't need to go into this to create our File Shares, I just wanted to…
