Conducting an experiment online

- [Monika] We often hear about experimental testing online, especially A/B testing of web pages. Running an online experiment seems intuitive. But if you actually tried to design one, you will see there are a lot of details you need to address. In this course, we'll cover the basics of designing your own experiment. I'll take you through all the steps, collecting and analyzing baseline data, planning potential strategies to increase conversion rates, and choosing both A and B conditions for testing. Then we'll cover implementing the experiment, including calculating sample size and a timeline for the experiment, as well as planning for the statistical test we will use, the chi square. Finally, I'll show you how to analyze and interpret the data, then how to think about acting on what you found as a result of your experiment. I'm Monika Wahi. I'm a researcher and epidemiologist, and I have designed experiments and studies for a wide variety of settings, such as health care and business. So join me in my LinkedIn Learning course as we discuss building experiments that help you learn more about your business.
