- [Instructor] So continuing on, we need to understand compute requirements. So at the end of the day, this is how we do the processing. Where storage is how we persist data information files down to a virtual or physical disc, compute is how we process things. In other words, it's the brains of the system. It's how we invoke behavior. It's how we act upon data. So compute systems are extremely important. So we have several requirements we need to consider, the platform we're going to leverage, the operating system, the configuration of the platform, how much memory, things like that. Again, looking at BCDR, business continuity and disaster recovery. Also again, we're dealing with APIs as we deal with compute systems, how are we going to manage those APIs?
