- [Instructor] So just as we have to deal with storage abstraction, we have to deal with compute abstraction as well. What this is is anything that processes something. Typically we think of CPUs, but in essence, they're platforms with input output devices and things that take care of changing one state to another. So we need to deal with very different compute platforms. Could be as small as IOT device or as large as a mainframe. So again, we're dealing with abstraction. So we're putting volatility and complexity into its own domain and ultimately, we're putting single common interfaces on top of a multitude of processing systems. So for instance, we may have high performance computing, we may have standard cores such as standard Intel cores, and perhaps specialized processing. For example, an IOT system or embedded system. And so we have super computers, Lenux systems, IOT that would be an instance of that. So compute…
