- [Instructor] Many laws and industry requirements require detailed documentation and certification of compliance in order to avoid fines or fees or any other negative penalties. Any efforts made to develop or realign in enterprise must take into account existing and emerging legal requirements from the very start. Legislative responses to issues such as data loss, privacy violations and fiscal accountability, generate an ever-growing number of legal requirements that you must incorporate in enterprise planning. Now, some of these examples include the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.
