- [Instructor] So now let's look at the notion of compliance and governance. Specifically looking at what tools are out there to support this. So again, perhaps the most important role that governance can play because it really has a large return on investment as we talked about in other videos, it keeps you out of trouble. In other words, if it's able to make sure you don't run a foul of the law and therefore basically risk incarceration in some instances but typically fines. This is something we need to invest in. So it's basically automation of legal restrictions that are out there. And so this is about someone understanding what the legal issues are and then putting that into a tool. And that's not an easy thing to do. Because if you think about it, laws and legal issues are typically going to be localized around state and local government as well as the nation.
