- The best part about a video course is you can just sit back and watch it and enjoy. But if you really want to get the best benefit out of this course, there's a few things I want you to consider. First of all, throughout the course, I'm going to be mentioning lots and lots of free software out there. These are softwares, that you can go out, and download and try them out for yourself. I call these, my cool tools. There's nothing top secret about them but they're very, very powerful and very handy and you should consider using them whenever you can. They're great, I love 'em. Okay, so as we're going through the course, keep in mind that this course tracks pretty closely to my books themselves. So what you're going to be seeing as we go through the course, is first of all, you're going to be seeing a chapter and an episode name. Now, these chapters track pretty close, exactly to my book. However, you're going to see, from time to time, there might be a little bit of a change. These are growing and changing technologies and I tend to change my mind and like to do things different from time to time. But you'll find that they track pretty closely. And the nice part is, is that you'll also have the actual CompTIA Objective. So you can take a look, you're going to see that objective, and you can trace that to the actual CompTIA Objectives themselves. And if you want to, you can even cross-reference using the objective table in my book to tie it in perfectly with the video series. Now, there's a lot more other useful tools and you need to be watching for these as you watch the videos. First of all, we're going to be putting a lot of important terms. These important terms are going to be appearing on the screen as I present and these will help you get some ideas, maybe some extra information, or maybe some better definition than what I'm simply saying in and of myself. The other thing you're going to be seeing towards the bottom of the screen, are what I'm calling objective terms. In this case, I'm introducing a term that is exactly matching one particular objective. So, this helps you understand where you're at, in terms of all of the objectives for the exam itself. But that's not all. The other big thing we're going to be doing, is you're going to be seeing exam tips. So whenever you see something like this, this is a little tip, a little idea, a little angle to help you on the actual exam. Along with that are, well, a lot of this stuff has to deal with the real world. So, on top of that, we're going to throw in pro tips. These pro tips are what you need to be out there, in the real world, to be able to be a better technician. So, all of these tools together, are going to help you get through this entire course, which will help you get through the exam. If you have any questions, just head over to my Q&A area, where me or one of my TAs are waiting to answer your questions.
