First, many Cloud services depend upon the availability of Application Programming Interfaces or APIs to provide developers with programmatic access to services. APIs allow many different types of extremely sensitive transactions. For example, the Amazon Web Service's API allows the provisioning and creation of server instances, the retrieval of files, and other actions that might jeopardize security if performed by an unauthorized individual. The APIs offered by financial services firms allow security straighting and money transfers.
