- [Instructor] So now let's talk about Cloud Operations, or CloudOps for short. So this is about running all of our cloud-based systems, either public or private cloud, and doing so in the long-term without any interruptions of services. That's the core metric. So keep in mind that much of the metric in you being successful with cloud complexity management is your ability to keep the system in good operational state, but doing so without additional complexity, without additional costs. So we're looking to select the right tools, typically dealing with abstraction and automation, and we need to be good at understanding what's out there and the solution patterns that we see. So monitoring and operations has many components. We have to deal with governance, we have to deal with performance or how well things are performing, we have to deal with how well security is operating, we have to deal with monitoring and tracking costs…
