- [Instructor] Cloud service logs related to storage, virtual machines, applications, and much more, can serve not only as a way to track the performance of a given IT solution, but also it serves as a method of monitoring the security, in this case, of cloud-based services. Here in Microsoft Azure, I've started the portal where I'm going to go into my virtual machines viewer. I've got a single virtual machine. I'm going to click directly on it to open it up. Now, the first thing that we can do in terms of logging, is track the activity log, in this case, for this specific resource, this virtual machine named vm1. The activity log isn't related to the software running within the VM or the operating system, nothing like that. Instead, this is administrative activity at the cloud level.
