- [Instructor] In chapter one of the video course, I covered cloud data storage. Let's review some of the key points from that chapter. (thunder rolls) Remember, Cloud Storage may be either block storage or object storage. Block storage provides us with volumes that we can attach to server instances, while object storage stores individual files. (thunder rolls) Cloud block storage may consist of either raw disk storage or ephemeral storage. Raw disk storage is permanently allocated storage that may exist independently of a server instance.
