- [Instructor] The key cloud computing characteristic that enables these capabilities are on-demand self-service, that refers to cloud service provider's ability to provision resources on-demand, which from a security perspective, has introduced challenges to governing the use and provisioning of cloud-based services, which may violate organizational policies. Self-service also referred to as self-provisioning, which describes the process where the customer, or user, can provision, manage, or operate the cloud services they are using, without interaction, or assistance from the cloud provider, or cloud provider personnel.
